Review on ✨ Julep Eyeshadow 101 Crème to Powder Stick Duo: Bronze Shimmer & Warm Gold Shimmer - Waterproof and Long-lasting by Anthony West

I wanted a waterproof cream eyeshadow in taupe (not necessarily a pencil) and this listing ended up popping up on several pages of my search. I have a few julep products that I really like (blush sticks) and after seeing many individual julep eyeshadows for about the same price as this duo I really couldn't resist. I'm really late, but what I was hoping to find was a scam (or at least as close as possible) for Pat McGrath's metallic taupe eyeshadows, which to my dismay have been discontinued. I saw an influential makeup artist rave about Pat McGrath's shade on YouTube, claiming it was the perfect "once done" product, especially for those with cool skin tones. So I spent some tedious time trying to find Pat McGrath's shadow SOMEWHERE, but no, I can't find it. The next step, of course, was to look for something like this on Amazon. I already liked Julep's multi-stick blushes, but buying makeup online (especially at Revain) sucks. But since the words describing these two julep shadow wands fit the bill, I realized what kind of hay it was. When they arrived today I was very happy BOTH the colors are fantastic for me and it's really nice to have both the dark gray matte and shimmer options. I just hope these sticks wear as well as they blush. I find the color of the matt grey-brown stick to be neutral, i.e. not warm, but not cold either. The shimmery shade is definitely cool, but I think cool tones are finally back in fashion and I'm really excited. This is a very creamy formula, quite comparable to Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown formulas. And they're way better than the Sephora eyeshadow sticks I (unfortunately) tried first. Don't go there. They glide on and look amazing with or without eyeshadow primer. I get a cleaner shade when I don't use a primer and more depth of color when I do. I can probably use these two sticks to do a very good day and evening makeup, smokey eyes and probably in about 5 minutes (which is amazing. takes forever). The matte shade is probably great for the lower lash line and I look forward to using it to create a "fox" look for the eyes. So I can definitely recommend this duo. When I realized I could get two shades with two different finishes for the same price that other sellers charge for just one, I had to pull the trigger.
