This is a good mount except for the coax cable used. I'm a radio amateur and have used this on a hood mount. The problem is with the coax cable and a lot of RF interference causing my engine electronics and engine control unit, as well as horrible RF hissing on my radio while the engine is running and when buttons are pressed. I switched the cheap coax to RG-142, the problem was solved.
