It's expensive: very expensive. You get what you pay for - great looking ingredients from transparent sources. I use this as a topper, snack or treat. Not like a full meal. If you only feed this food, it will become too expensive very quickly. My cat loves Stella and chewy snacks, but since being diagnosed with urinary crystals, I'm concerned that the S&C recipe has too many bones. Cats with urinary problems require low levels of phosphorus and magnesium, but the Stella & Chewy recipe is very high in both due to the bone content. I found this alternative while reading about the best freeze dried raw food for cats with urinary problems. It has less phosphorus and bones than other freeze-dried foods while still containing quality ingredients. These kibble are smaller and denser to the touch than other freeze-dried raw cat foods I've tried. The size is good because it's easier to feed a couple as a treat and I suspect the extra surface area helps speed up rehydration. However, the density slows down the rehydration process. They can stay stuck for some time. My cat loves them but seems to prefer Stella & Chewy's. Too bad for him as they take better account of his condition!
