First of all I have to say that a small portable fan was more of a wish than a reality. Most small fans produce little airflow and usually drain the battery fairly quickly. First, this fan is lightweight and I can wear it around my neck for hours. In addition, I can work at full speed for about 4 hours without reloading. It might take a little longer but I fell asleep after 4 hours so I can't say exactly how long. The amazing thing for me was that it is so versatile. I attached it to the headboard and it stayed in that position all night. My grandson also used it when he was outside and he could leave it on when he was outside and never complain that it bothered him. I appreciate that it has 3 speeds so I can put it on low speed and it makes quiet engine noise. It's quiet enough here for my husband to sleep. I usually use the big fan by the bed at night, which worries my husband a lot. It's USB so I can plug it into my car while driving and when I get to my destination it's ready to go. One of the best buys of my year. Highly recommended. Especially for tides.
