I ordered these hats for me and my husband due to the recent extreme cold and power outage in Texas. Caps arrived as expected, then we had over 70 degree weather; find out. We are well prepared for the coming winter and even for the strangely cold days of spring and autumn during our son's soccer games/tournaments. And we have land, so it will be much easier to work outside when the weather is clear. We tried them and they lived up to expectations. We felt good and hot in them trying them on at home. So warm we had to take them off. I suspect they will keep us very warm.
