We had one of the cheapest looking colored tilt scrapers and the cardboard was torn into pieces and not worth replacing. Next to it was a mid-century art nouveau cardboard cat scratching post, LOL. Of course they (2 cats) prefer the slopes. I ordered this to replace both old scratches and they LOVE it! Hooray! The fact that it's made from safe recycled material is a huge plus. For a recycled cardboard or zBoard, it's really solid and took seconds to slide together. It's well designed and made, it really shows! I thought the wood pattern would look very fake and cheap but to be honest it isn't! We got black - wish dark brown was available. For an unbelievably low price I would definitely buy another one. Also, the catnip powder (which I don't think I've ever seen before!) was 100% cat crack. And less messy - wish I could find more! Oh actually the scratching post is made out of heavier cardboard which gives me hope it will last longer and not get too messy. Not sponsored just a cat person who is really impressed!
