The belt I received is mostly plastic with a thin layer of leather sewn on top. I bought a genuine full grain leather belt. When I saw this belt at Revain I saw the words "100% full grain leather" and thought I found this belt. After receiving the belt and examining it carefully, I went back and re-read the description. The spec sheet says "Italian full grain leather upper". The thin top layer or "top" has the appearance of real leather, but the belt is not "100% real leather" as claimed elsewhere in the description. Too bad I didn't understand the difference before buying. The belt looks good and the buckle has a brushed nickel finish. The promotional photo accurately conveys its appearance. My only concern is durability. My other belts, which are actually solid leather, were riddled with small tears at some point, but that didn't matter much as the tears were only on the top. It will be interesting to see if the thin leather on this band peels, especially where it gets a bit of stress from my phone case's clip on and off.
