All my life I've been prone to horrific pimples - often in the thinnest parts of my skin - but it was only recently that a dermatologist diagnosed me with contact dermatitis caused by skincare additives ('flavors in particular " or "perfumes"). I've been instructed to change all of the products I've been using for cleansing, scenting, and personal care, namely the Vanicream Cleansing Bar. It creates an oily, rich lather that removes oil and moisture at the same time. At first it was unfamiliar to use unscented soap, but I've adapted and the results are mega: no acne, I don't feel any less clean and presentable. My only trick is to rarely use scented deodorant when my confidence demands I smell like something other than nothing; my body usually forgives me for such situations and doesn't break out. For people with contact dermatitis, eczema, or psoriasis, cutting out fragrances and additives can be a big step forward. I wish you the best! - (Was that helpful?
