Review on πŸ•’ DaLuca Ballistic Nylon Military Watch Straps for Men's Watches by Katrina Kruger

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice, works fine. Very long strap

The strap is very long. This is fine for me in some situations as I sometimes need to wear a work or dive watch over my clothes (dry suit, rain jacket, winter coat). The rest of the time, though, you'll have to figure out what to do with the rest of that belt! I installed/cut a Seiko SKX007J dive watch that I use as my "work hours" such as housework, shop dress, chopping wood, or any other task that I wouldn't want to risk performing (a task with one of my more expensive watches). The strap was the perfect width but snug around the pins. With a watch of this size, the band was initially "tight" to keep the watch properly on my wrist (it wanted to lift off my hand with really big gaps) until the band started to stretch a bit and gradually worked. for the best position. Now it fits quite well. I don't know why you need two lugs where the two parts of the bracelet meet after passing it under the watch. It seems to me that there are too many. The biggest question is what to do with the extra strap. What I did end up doing (after carefully melting 2 extra holes) was double the tape over the top ring and then under the second ring. The next part is the hardest. I then thread the strap back through the buckle a second time, letting the buckle's pin go through one of the new holes I made. It's a little fiddly, but all the simple methods of not using rings to hold the slack made the bracelet too unwieldy to use as a 'work watch'. I could have cut the strap (obviously) but then I would have lost the ability to wear it over my top layer.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin
