I really like them. I decorated my daughter's nursery in the style of an old circus and many of her items are painted yellow, blue and orange, so these pom poms look so cute hanging in the corner of her room like a big mobile. I cut lengths of fishing line and taped various lengths to the ceiling and the center of the pom pom for hanging. Yes, you have to do it yourself. They're pressed together and basically look like a long colored pencil with cardboard on both sides, and you need to roll and fluff them up so they're big and fluffy. This is tissue paper so some care is obviously needed. It takes a while but they come out cute so any type of pom poms will look similar unless you buy pre made pom poms which might break in transit so I don't mind making my own. Yes, if you need a lot of these for an event, make them ahead of time so you don't rush and tear them up or get frustrated. Overall they are very cute for a child's room, birthday or wedding. Many different colors for every occasion. I got them for free for my honest review, but all opinions are my own. I can just go back and order a different color for my baby's first birthday!
