Used for Samsung Tab A, full-size 7 inch tablet with foldable case. It grips the windshield tenaciously, and the dash bumper keeps it stable. Used in a Dodge minivan, no problem. Updated a year later: The heat from the sun caused the suction cup to soften and run down my windshield. It's a sticky mess. It cannot be removed, and when hot it can migrate across the windshield, increasing the area of the slime. Luckily I don't take it off often, but the next time I want to remove it, it has to be scraped off, removed with solvents, etc. I don't know what will remove it. It feels VERY sticky. My rating is one star. I do not recommend it as it obviously does not tolerate sunlight.
