I have a 14 year old, 18 lb Shihtsu who is very picky about her food. (Unspoiled, um) There are several foods he eats, but this one is his favorite I think in part because it's finely chopped. He gets 1/4 cup of dry small breed food and 1/6 container of it on top twice a day. This seems to satisfy him, but does not cause weight gain. He also gets two treats a day. With other wet food, I had to stand over him and order him to eat a dozen times. And 90% of the time he just eats which I think is a win. Also, we have one person in the family who is allergic to rice and Beef, Carrot, Pea and Barley is one of the few. that do not contain rice. (This is a child playing with the dog, so the dog cannot have childhood allergens.)
