Review on 🏒 Baxton Studio Wholesale Interiors Dark Brown Zentra Sideboard Storage Cabinet with Glass Doors by Shawn Fuller

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent for the price

UPDATE: I originally gave it three stars but now I'm giving it four. We've had it for over two years now and we've moved it probably 3 or 4 times and it survived being picked up and moved. It's also worth noting that the shelf doesn't flex at all, which usually happens with cheaper plywood shelves when holding some weight for a while. With us it only holds games and some consoles so not too much weight but still. The original is good for the price. I would probably buy it again although this is definitely not a 5 star product. Firstly the packaging was very good, the box came intact, there was foam and the glass was in another box in the box with lots of foam. So everything was fine. All parts have been accounted for. wood screws and such. The instructions were uh. It's easy to understand (although everything is without text in the pictures), although I thought there might be a different order, I would recommend putting your legs in front of the sides for example. All four legs were slightly deformed, scratched or something. I'm not sure what's going on with the underside where they should be attached. There were some very small holes in the sets of four. Not thick enough for the screws to attach the legs and too close together to fit the holes in the legs, also the legs have four holes for four screws but the wood you screw them into only has room for three. Photos of it are included. It's still solid and sleek, but that's clearly a design flaw. There were also many holes that were not drilled. Cup holder holes, legs, with that kind of stuff driving a screw into you will likely break wood, so you should probably have a power drill or screwdriver handy. It took me about an hour and a half to assemble it by myself, I'm sure it could have been a lot quicker with help, but again, put your feet in front of the sides as you'll probably have to make your own foot holes. It would be much easier if the wood panel was worked upside down on the underside instead of working on it on the side. Definitely scratches easily, the bottom has some damage from the first time you close it, it was very easy to rub and paint. But it was cheap so I expect the same. It's reasonable for the money, but not a great product either. Overall it feels solid like shaking it, but I wouldn't recommend using it as a bookshelf as I guarantee the shelves will sag under moderate weight.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
