After carefully researching and reading many reviews, pros and cons of these towels, having had them for the past two months, I believe everyone is right. Those who say that these towels get more plush and softer after each wash are right. Even those who say that you can buy the same or better towel in big stores are right. Here's my story. I bought a set and was so pleased with it that I bought another set of four two weeks later. Shortly after my second purchase, my wife informed me that Sam's Club sells a larger and just as good looking towel for $6.99. We've already bought towels from people in the warehouse and they tried to dry themselves with a rug on the front door so I wasn't overly concerned but said we'd buy one just to see how it held up. Here are the stats: Revain towels (e.g. Soft Touch Linen) are made in Turkey under the brand name Chakir Linen. They measure 49 x 26 and weigh 21 ounces. The Sam's Club Towel was sold under the Hotel Luxury Reserve brand name, is made in India, measures 54 x 28 and weighs 25.5 ounces. This was after both towels had been washed at least twice. The Revain towel has a slightly thicker feel, the Sam's Club towel has a slightly softer feel. My wife's only complaint about the Sam's Club towel is that it has three ribs at the end while the Revain towel only has one. She said those strips got in the way. So far all towels have held up fairly well with no fraying or sticky threads. Also, be careful with the "also bought" line. I bought "matching" towels and washcloths. Only they didn't quite match, no big deal, but not even the same brand and I figured since I'm buying bath towels they'll no doubt just send one different item along. no The bath towels were purchased as part of Prime's two-day free shipping. Waited another four or five days for the rest of the items and paid a pretty decent shipping fee for them.
