I'll address a couple of issues; This is not a general overview. This active speaker system is a stereo point source. There's a subtle spread of stereo that's very different from a system with a lot of physical separation. Most listeners will hear this as a mono speaker. This makes for a good mix of left and right; Vocals, lead instruments and bass drum don't have the usual fun due to the cancellation. It almost has to be stereo to pop. A closeup on a table is good for this effect. The boosted bass available with the Storm button is very impressive. When compared to a KRK 10-inch powered subwoofer, the Storm's bass is tighter, much less loud, and less extended than a dedicated powered subwoofer. There is a limit to how deep bass can be extended, as well as how dynamic and loud it can sound in this tiny package. The extended bass tends to favor the kick. The clear reproduction of deep drum sounds makes the Storm an excellent choice for rock and pop music. Its presence makes many desktop media speakers sound comparatively flat, dark, cheap and poorly balanced Perfect for my Iphone 5C. The hands-free function works quite well. My iPhone, with a premium music service that lets me stream pretty much anything I want, whenever I want, makes an almost perfect little portable stereo when Storm is added. is not a particularly loud speaker. It seems to have some processing/restriction to keep the party in check. This probably contributes to the excellent battery life. He has no guideline. Registration via Bluetooth only. Bluetooth may have some processing delays. Because of this delay, this speaker's ability to be a micro home theater system can be compromised. In general, there are several factors that can affect latency that have nothing to do with this device. A perfect lip-synch sound might not be possible without some fiddling. Despite its limitations, this is a very enjoyable speaker that does a lot of things well. As a full-range speaker that fits in a car cup holder, I consider this to be the pinnacle of performance.
