These are the most comfortable and best sounding headphones I've ever owned. I've had other SteelSeries headphones but these really are the most comfortable and don't cause my ears to overheat after prolonged use. The ear pads are not plastic. It's a breathable material that helps keep your ears cool. This is a big advantage over other headphones. The top of the headphones has a hard edge. Between the hard outer band and your head is a fabric band that sits directly on top of your head. At first I didn't understand why it was made that way, but after many hours and days of use, I understood why. It fits your head. More comfort is not possible. It features a 3.5mm port for connecting to an audio source. This way, when your cable wears out from use, you simply get a new cable. All of my other headphones had a hardwired audio cable. After frequent use, they begin to wear out, which eventually affects the sound quality. With these headphones, that's no problem.
