All the waterproof cameras I had were out of service so I decided to choose something different for an upcoming trip with planned snorkeling and other water sports. It has some great features. Cons: Proprietary battery Uses microSD cards Pros: Easy to use Very light Thick battery seal Dual display USB charging The pros outweigh the cons. Although it has a proprietary battery, it also charges via Micro-USB, so I don't have to bring an additional dedicated charger for it. Battery life probably won't be an issue if I only use this camera for water adventures. I also have a P&S and a DSLR for other dry shooting. My faster memory cards turned out to be full-size SD cards, but I had several micro SD cards that I could pop into this camera for immediate use. I will buy at least one fast micro SD memory card to record 4k videos! The camera is very easy to use, I immediately understood the controls. I really like the front display/selfie mode. I'll be able to crop these underwater shots as I take them! I've had other underwater cameras that didn't have a display to be more waterproof, so I couldn't really tell if I got a good shot or not. On land, you usually check immediately and shoot again if necessary. In water sports, you won't have easy reps, so it's very frustrating when shots don't come out as expected. I can't wait to use this camera for more when I'm on the go.
