Review on πŸ‘οΈ Eyebloc Webcam Cover for MacBook and MacBook Pro - Professional Edition with Patented Magnetic Slider Design, Safe Screen Closure, Ambient Light Sensor Compatibility by Kip Ruach

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent electronics is best for audio and video accessories

Construction is one long piece of metal with two stickers on the back to smooth it out. It contains a hole in the top for the webcam as well as a light sensor. I've used over 5 webcam cases on my MacBook Pro and here are my first impressions in comparison:- ++ It won't break/tear off because it's not glued- ++ My daughter probably won't destroy it- ++ It gets stuck in the on or off position-- It takes 2 hands and 4 seconds to open or close properly, compared to 1 hand and 1 second since I paid $20 for it (1/10 of the price of Apple's cheapest iDevice ), I consider it a premium product and have high hopes for it. A better design would match the top cover of the MacBook Pro inner case. Also the rod size could be shortened so that it snaps when it grabs the magnet and aligns perfectly with the camera opening. Finally, a red sticker can be attached so that I can see better whether the lid is open or closed. Yes, I understand that the first two suggestions require multiple EB-PRO-1000s to accommodate the different top cap magnet placements and spacing. But not really, just cut the metal from the bottom, not down the middle, like this:

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Some difficulties
