Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Co2 Omnibus Regulator by Aquarium Equip - Adjustable for Co2 Tank & Cartridge Tank by Amanda Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Do not buy an Interstate Pneumatics WRCO2-5A4 CO2 paintball adapter for this regulator!

First the paintball adapter, then I look at the controller. It is recommended to purchase the "Interstate Pneumatics WRCO2-5A4 CO2 Tank CGA 320 Adapter" along with this regulator to fit a paintball tank, this adapter will NOT fit. There is an inner wall that prevents the two parts from being threaded through. I have provided photos to show the problem. Purchase the Hydra Aquatic CO2 Paintball Adapter instead. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but it bypasses the adjustable omnibus adapter and fits perfectly. I even went to the local hardware store to buy a variety of fittings, which I couldn't find any that screwed onto Interstate Pneumatics 1/2" threads, they are a bit oversized. The omnibus controller is a low cost option for electronic solenoids/regulators and is easy to use. I also have a Fluval 88g co2 kit regulator and they are very similar and the omnibus is half the price. The valve is VERY sensitive. I barely had time (maybe a millimeter) to turn the knob and the bubble counter was filled with CO2. You need it to be almost in the off position. It will take time to form bubbles with each use. Haven't had any leaks yet, I've also used duct tape on all the threads. If you want to save some money buy this regulator, it will fit. If you have the money, buy the Fluval kit instead. It has better quality and is easier to set up.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
