As others have said the jars are designed to be used with screw tops, not the included lids which simply sit on the jars. However, I was looking for attachment lids, so the screw part of the jars wasn't a problem. One thing I found helpful was that the jars came with stickers for cotton balls and swabs that I actually used. The quality of the glass is not up to some people's standards (hence the title ygwypf) but I really like the glass variations and a few air bubbles. You go to the village apartment and come up straight away. If they break I will come back to buy more. Highly recommended
