I'm not the camper in the family, my wife is which means I camp too. I'm too old to lie on the ground and try to sleep. I bought my wife an air mattress with great reviews, but she hated it because it was too hard to fold and put back in the tiny bag. This mattress is not as thick or heavy but holds air nicely. I have not had a chance to camp with it, but I inflated it and tested it daily for about 4 days. It never lost air. It has a handy foot pump built in to inflate it, but I used a hand pump, and it worked great also. I'm 6 feet tall and I had room to spare on this mattress. I rolled and tossed, and it held up very well. The material reminds me of a pool float, but much thicker. I didn't feel any baffles inside, so it might be a little bouncy for some. I'm at 200lbs and I could sleep on it. The one complaint my wife had, which affects most mattresses such as this, is you have to fold it EXACTLY right to fit into the supplied carry bag. Her recommendation was the company needs to give about 2 to 3 inches more room in the carry bag because you'll be folding it up in the woods in less-than-ideal conditions where no one has time to fold and refold an air mattress. I didn't have a problem. It also came with a sheet of patches just in case you spring a leak. Very handy! I can't wait to take it to the woods.yes, I can, but at least I won't be sleeping on the ground.
