I bought Bluetooth headphones for my TV. I chose this setup because of the connectivity options that came with it. Unfortunately I didn't check what I have for the connections on the TV. The only option I had was an optical port, which connected to my sound system. Where I need headphones to watch TV or talk to people over the air conditioning, it has become necessary to separate my optical signal so I don't have to take everyone outside with the sound system to hear it.
