I bought this to replace a sewing basket I've had for years. I ended up just using one of the individual compartments because you can't really put much in there with separators and I don't need to either. I've only had it a few days but used it today and had little trouble snapping any of the sections on either side even when moving things around and making sure nothing was too high. I had to rearrange the compartments so they close properly. I can see where these latches (or fasteners) might break in the future since they're plastic, but for now this works for what I need. I could fit at least 25 or 30 spools of thread in a compartment top put scissors, pins and the like. And in the other two compartments I put more pens and needles that I don't use as often as in the bins, a box of buttons, all my fasteners and bits and pieces. I love that I can see the sections so I can easily take them apart just to get to a section when I need to get in my old sewing basket where I had to open it up and take the top section off and dig. that's to get what i need. I also like that it's taller and narrower than my square sewing box so it fits in less closet space. I think if nothing breaks, everything is fine.
