*update* I love this shelf! It's sturdy and the slightly curved slat on the top rear shelf doesn't stand out at all. It contains my printer and some LARGE books. So awesome! I will buy another one in the future. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is the packaging issue with the weird magnetic metal inclusions discussed in my old post below. Just received tonight. DO NOT open at home! When I first received the package, it sounded like something was loose inside, like sand when I tipped the box. So I took it out to the porch to finish opening it. Thank god I did! Inside the box were all sorts of small, sandy, magnetic metal grains! I don't know what it is or why they were all over the package, it's weird and scared me. I'm glad I didn't open it at my house, they would have gone everywhere! After shaking off the shelf myself to make sure no bits of metal got into the house *fingers crossed*, I installed the shelf. Outside. It was very easy to assemble it where finished. The back plank of the top shelf is slightly curved and is visible from across the room, but otherwise looks exactly as advertised. Haven't put anything on it yet and plan to update this review later but wanted other people to know so they don't get a metallic substance in their carpet.
