What a pleasant surprise to open the box and immediately notice that they are all heavier and stronger than I expected. Includes rubber seals for spouts, lids and vents. Also included is a suitable 5/16" drill bit needed to attach a vent. Purchase was made to repair a Lowe's SCEPTER brand 5 gallon can with no vent and spring loaded valve lug. In the past the only easy way was to drain it with a siphon hose. The vent was easy to install. The original thread on the spout retaining ring had a ratchet stop and was fine so it was reused with a new spout. They include a collar , which fits snugly, but it doesn't engage with the ratchet mechanism. Next came the IGLOO 6 gallon water jug. The pop up vent broke years ago so the hole was enlarged and a new vent installed. The original spout collar was torn so it was replaced with the one in the box. 3rd photo is a 5 gallon JERRY JUG gas cylinder that is 50 years old. The spout assembly and collar have been replaced. Finally, the vent cap on the 5 gallon GOTT canister was replaced. For comparison, the handle has the original cover repaired with epoxy resin. , and if I needed it, the ones supplied wouldn't fit this GOD tin. Repaired a lot more than planned and still have stuff for future repairs. Would buy again.
