Bought this after moving into a house with central heating over the winter. There was no moisture in the air and I started waking up every morning with a sore throat and scratchy throat. Therefore, after a little research, I decided on an ultrasonic humidifier SPT SU-2550W with aroma diffuser, white. Pros: Definitely humidifies the air. When turned on, it immediately starts throwing evaporating water into the air. My nights have definitely improved since the purchase. Even at full power, the humidifier runs for a good 8 hours before it runs out of breath. I bet you can get through the day on medium or low settings. Cons: The humidifier sometimes makes a gurgling noise. It's not too loud, but in the stillness of the night it can sometimes wake me up just before bed. If you put it on full blast, the vapor will still fall down and drench whatever you have under the humidifier. I keep a towel spread under me to keep the mold from festering. You'll also need to clean your humidifier at least every week, possibly more often depending on the quality of your tap water (yes I know I use a faucet. I'm that lazy. I want steam, not air conditioning otherwise you'll start to see mold stains around the Base around to notice.Uncoated: I haven't tried the aroma diffuser so can't comment on how well it works.Overall I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.It works, easy maintenance and I got the night slept through again.
