Vibrant colors that blend easily. Be sure to get a blending pen, it gives you a lot more control than a water brush and keeps the colors vibrant. The brush tip is very flexible and easy to use, just be careful not to handle it like a normal marker. As another reviewer mentioned, they aren't permanent, but I wasn't expecting them to be since they are watercolor pencils. I like them and will buy a full set of 48 pieces. I wish they were in more colors but they are very easy to mix to create colour.
