After rehydrating it turned out to be a lot bigger than I expected (because I'm used to store bought small ones). The loofah is a bit rougher than a regular shower stool, but I've found that it's just about the pressure I apply that determines the amount of scrub. Finally, I bought it BECAUSE of the exfoliating properties! I use a lot less shower gel but my skin is clearer and softer. I almost cut the washcloth in half (widthwise) thinking it would be awkward to hold, but decided to try the whole thing. Glad I didn't cut it off! Now I can brush my back fairly easily (thought of getting a long hand brush) which was an added bonus. Once wet it's pretty easy to hold and use. I also have a round facial cleanser that's a bit stiffer than I'd like, so I just use gentle pressure. Overall, my skin is much softer and absorbs the lotion better. I'm glad I finally decided to do something good for my skin after a year of "neglect" due to COVID and everything related to staying safe on site (i.e. lack of people). Ouch! This is a natural plant fiber, so there was a slight odor after the initial rehydration and drying. It disappeared after the first use!
