Got all the TV channels I wanted

First of all this product did what I wanted it to do which was get all my local and national TV channels. Now concrete details. My computer has a TV tuner card that I bought some time ago. It ran Windows 8 (the newest at the time) with a feature called Windows Media Center that allowed me to watch regular TV shows on my computer. Well I made the mistake of upgrading to Windows 10 which removed the media center. I finally found a program called MediaPortal that lets me use a TV tuner card again and watch TV on my computer. TV channels I'm used to. I live in New York. So, for those of you familiar with this, my bunny ears have caught national broadcasters CBS (2), NBC (4), ABC (7) (and their decimal point broadcasters) and some local broadcasters like Fox. 5 and ION (31). So I had this. I missed channels 9.1 (WOR), 9.2, 9.3, 9.4, 11.1 (WPIX), 11.2, 11.3, 11.4 and 13 (PBS). They're all local channels, not national, but I wanted them. I first set up this new Vansky antenna with no amp connected and included four nines (in addition to all the transmitters that got rabbit ears). So a Vansky gave me four extra channels over the bunny ears. Then I decided to try it with the amp box connected and it added all 11 and 13. So the amplification added five additional channels. (By the way, I connected the amp to a regular outlet, I didn't connect USB to a computer.) In total, I now have 38 transmission channels. All the usual New York channels: 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 31 (and their corresponding decimal point channels), plus a bunch of other channels I'm not familiar with. I'm happy with this product because I got what I wanted which was all the local channels I needed. I must honestly tell you that I have not toyed with trying to install the antenna in multiple locations. If I had put it on a different wall, I might have gotten even more channels. Or maybe less. I know that the direction of the antenna is important, but I didn't know. I simply placed the antenna as close to the ceiling as possible and just above the window. I got all the stations I wanted so I'm more than satisfied. I hope that the information I have provided will be useful to others.
