Review on πŸ”¦ JDM ASTAR 2000 Lumens 360-Degree Shine LED Bulbs For Backup Reverse Lights, Xenon White - Enhanced Visibility with 921, 912 90-EX Chipsets by Robert Worlds

Very bright. The chips are positioned correctly for the reflectors in the case. Replaced 921 bulb in Honda Pilot 06.

This LED is very bright, almost too bright for reverse lighting. I'm replacing some lightbulbs in a recently purchased Honda Pilot 06. I bought a backup camera that I have yet to install, but these LEDs should help with the backlighting. In addition, this tail light is much less likely to be overlooked when pulling out of a parking space. I would like to use them in the front position lights, but I understand that they cannot be used all the time without overheating (I use the parking/turn signals as daytime running lights with a lower power JDM 3014 SMD [18 chips]). This 921 replacement has 90 chips 3014. I chose this LED because it seemed like the bottom row of chips lined up with the filament 921. The reflectors in the tail are designed for this physical alignment. It turns out that this LED is longer than on the 921, but on the 06 Pilot it looks like the whole unit works with reflectors. Saving-star.com has a 13 lumen, 0.1 watt 3014 chip. The correct arrangement of 90 chips with 13 lumens (= 1170 lumens) is very effective for a parabolic reflector. (A new 921 bulb puts out about 250 lumens.) Some reviewers report that these LEDs don't stay in place when the trunklid is closed. I've tried turning them off by closing the pilot's tailgate and so far so good. Of course, the support of the bulbs depends heavily on the design of the body, as well as the weight of the bulb. Six stars for it so far. I just installed them (November 2017). I will update if there are any problems.
