Honestly, I didn't expect this mouse to please! I wanted to see if a lower profile mouse would help with my wrist and thumb issues. I tried 3 "ergonomics" and all they did was make things worse. So this was the right type and price for me to try. Fort isn't as flat as I'd like, but it's better than my little Logitech I've been using for 4 years now. See picture for clarity. His size mattered to me! The only problem so far is that there is sometimes a wake-up delay. Other than that, it's great! It's very quiet! It's very soft and smooth! I am VERY happy so far. It's been about 2 weeks of daily use. Many Thanks.
