The NPET K80 mechanical keyboard is a good enough keyboard and maybe even excellent for the price. Nice and clicky, ergonomic enough although it took me a while to get used to setting it up after years of using my Logictech K350 keyboard as my (still) daily keyboard driver. I love that the backlight can be turned off if I'm not distracted by the RGB when using it for something other than the games I bought it for. I don't mind it either, although I do find it disappointing that "RGB" is limited to a very, very small number of iterations because, hey! MUCH less than $50. What really annoys me is the fact that the keyboard is dark. The brightness level of the RGB lighting ranges from "you don't even know it's dim" to "you hardly know it's dim", even in a room that's not lit at all. Worse, the letters are unevenly embossed, so the lighting barely shows through in places, even at maximum RGB brightness. It's a deal breaker for me, so much so that I'm already looking for another, lighter keyboard that gives me a few extra options. If you're on a serious budget but want some semblance of RGB for your gaming rig, with a pretty decent and great sounding keyboard then I'd say give the NPET K80 a try, but on the other hand if you want to To perceive RGB, this keyboard is not for you.
