Attaching the lid was difficult. needs to be corrected

When I opened the package, I was amazed. "Shine" is written on the cover. I was immediately concerned that it would detach from the items I was pressing. Does not look like it. "appears" means I can't install the cover. If it comes off when ironing, it must be returned. My ironing board is fifty years old and has metal legs with a locking system to adjust the height. The velcro is not in a position that allows me to open and close it. I keep it because it's a thick pad, I just have to move the velcro.
