I was so happy to buy this for my niece for her 7th birthday. She liked it so much that she changed clothes to wear to her party. I was very happy with it at first, the dress seemed to be of good quality, stretchy, good length and with a very fun print, but unfortunately my niece only wore it 2 times before the thread broke. She pulled that thread once and the entire neckline detached from the rest of the dress! I am very disappointed in the quality of this dress, I really expected better. My niece is very careful about her clothes so I'm sure we're both equally frustrated by this. I'm so sorry your birthday present was a failure!
