They come with a small zipper to keep the device closed, but it appears to be part of the design plan. They don't come with a punch tool, although careful use of the back of a thin knife or flathead screwdriver works well. I use the back of a razor blade but that can be dangerous for you hobbyists as you have to put a decent amount of pressure on the sharp side of the razor blade but it doesn't hit the connectors at all.
