It may not be fair to take this into account now as I only received it today. I hope the instructions are correct and say it can take up to a week to fill the foam as it's quite clumpy at the moment. 1/2 the foam of the mattress is mostly intact while the other half broke into small pieces so trying to fold it into a blanket was impractical. However, I was able to fold it up and put it on the mattress without the help of a second person, so that's a plus. I just really hope it takes shape! My dog took it right away, I gave him an "Air" so it's promising! I have the queen size in a neutral velvet color and the case feels very durable with a nice zip closure.
