bigger than regular face washcloths and incredibly soft. They don't "stick" to your hands like traditional microclothes. Initially when I first touched this linen I thought it was too soft and wouldn't get the job done. Boy was I wrong! I don't wash my face with cleanser, I use a mixture of coconut and castor oil, rub it on my face, soak a towel in lukewarm water and cover my face with a cloth. I let the steam work its way out of the fabric, melting makeup, dirt, and grime off my face. Once the towel has cooled, I wipe my face with the towel, rinse and repeat the addition twice. This rag does a great job with everything, way better than a regular washcloth and less rough on my skin. I apply toner and moisturizer. So glad I bought them!
