I love Joules waterproof boots. I've owned a pair for four years. Yes, I need a new pair about once a year (just bought my third pair) because they start to tear where the upper meets the sole. But I wear them multiple times a day, every day, rain or shine, in shallow water and on land, because I have a Belgian Malinois and I take him to work and to the potty. They protect my feet, ankles and lower legs from everything: ticks, ants, mosquitoes, other insects, tall grass, etc. When I step on other dog owners' dog feces because they are irresponsible and inattentive pet owners, they are very easy to hit and clean up quickly. I like her, because they are adjustable around the lower leg and there is not much clearance in the ankle area. As a result, they are very comfortable to walk on and do not chafe too much in the heel and ankle area. I was a bit disappointed with the design choices when ordering a new pair but still happy with them. I will always buy Joules wellies.
