Slow and frustrating

In the preface I will say that I am forced to buy a new device as it seems that all US networks will stop supporting Huawei devices in the near future. I decided to give the Note a try as it seemed like it would suit my daily use for work and I've always wanted an S Pen. I've been using this phone for a few days now and it's sooooo slow. . Apps and Google search take too long to load. The hotspot is just terrible. The battery life is wrong. Fast charging is much slower than what I had. The camera doesn't quite compare to the Leica camera on my old phone, which I thought wasn't. Not sure if this is a scam but I will definitely be returning it. There was also no headphone or phone clone jack. Don't get me wrong, the phone looks great. The S handle was everything I hoped it would be. The screen is impressive and super bright. The 120Hz refresh rate might have been cool for the first 10 seconds, then I realized it was a pretty useless feature. Scrolling to the bottom of a long page in a few seconds is useless when trying to read posts or look up information on that page. I went to AT&T to have my phone diagnosed. He tested it on his Note 20 Ultra and his phone was twice as fast as mine and passed the same speed test on the same network and unlimited data plan. All after my device took another 10-15 seconds to connect before the test even started. My advice is don't waste your money. Just because Samsung is crazy about the markets doesn't mean their phones are any good. For a flagship device and the price, this phone isn't worth it. Coming from a two year old Huawei Mate 20 Pro and it's sad that Samsung can't make a phone that can compete with it. Not what I expected from my first Note phone. I've never been a Samsung hater, but this experience only reinforces my previous position of never buying a Samsung device. I won't make that mistake again. Update: I made this mistake again. In my defense, I hoped this was an isolated incident or just a case of bad device. I ordered another unlocked Note 20 Ultra from Best Busy for comparison. Unfortunately this was not the case for me. This device had all the same problems. Slow network speed with AT&T (I live in a big city so that shouldn't happen, period). This phone didn't come with headphones either, so it seems Samsung is just saving money for consumers. I tried changing the SIM card on my girlfriend's S20 and it still didn't work. All calls went straight to voicemail and text messages were very successful. AT&T had no idea, but I'm pretty sure troubleshooting isn't the job of hourly workers. I had to go back to my Huawei Mate 20 Pro. About 10 minutes later, I received a couple of late text messages sent a few days ago in reply to a text I originally sent using the Note 20 Ultra. SMH. i'm just confused I'm not sure if this is an issue with the device, with the 5G network, or both. You also can't change which network ranges you want to use, i.e. disable 5G. You can only turn 2G on and off. My buddy has full control over his Note 10+ which is really amazing. In any case, both phones were returned. I am self employed and my phone is my lifeline. I don't have time to play these games or wait for Samsung to release an update. Such a shame because I really wanted to like this phone and I still liked the S Pen. Samsung just has a history of not living up to my expectations. An even greater shame is that I can't upgrade to a better Huawei device.
