I've had a variety of MP3 players, most of which I use for running. I tried this one because I needed a small MP3 player (for exercise) with big buttons (so I could change volume/tracks without stopping and slowing my eyes on the device). ADVANTAGES: Small, cute, PLUG & PLAY: just drag and drop your music onto your MP3 player. No software (like iTunes) is required to use it. - battery. CONS: - NO CLIP: The extra silicone "skin" has a clip but is quite flimsy and tends to slip out of the silicone case and lose the player. . Many times I would run and the player would fly into the bushes only to find the clip was still attached to my belt. I've never had this problem with a Samsung or iPod shuffle. NOT WATER RESISTANT: This is probably the worst aspect of this player. If this unit is exposed to rainwater or sweat, the buttons will short circuit (ie, one of the setup buttons will get stuck forward/backward) until the player dries. If I'm running in 90+ degrees I can expect about 15 minutes before the player fails due to moisture/sweat. Ironically, this problem is exacerbated when the player has a silicone skin (I'm being ironic because the skin is meant to protect the device from moisture). remaining battery etc - BATTERY LIFE: I was expecting this to last longer on a single charge, but the longest I usually get is around 7 hours of total playtime before needing to recharge. Other small MP3 players I've had (e.g. Samsung that also had a screen) lasted up to 14 hours. worst clip. Zen Stone is MUCH easier to load with music. I prefer the Zen Stone Mobiblu - the Zen Stone is easier to attach to the body, easier to press the buttons without looking. Mobiblu is probably the best player, but it's not that easy to train with him. Attach SAMSUNG to the player. Samsung has a built-in clip, screen and can withstand a lot of moisture.
