If you have a solar panel or just a battery, 4 car lights 1076 have a power of 80 to 120 watts. This is enough to run 2 small flat screen TVs and may be enough to wake you up without batteries depending on what type of batteries you have. That is from 9.6 to 14.4 Ah with a 100 Ah battery in 8 hours. So with the 1.6ah that's no problem. The light is just as bright, if not a little brighter than the 1076, but not as ultra-white. So it's easier on the eyes. I don't like lamps that generate heat and I don't like changing them once a year. I am happy with my purchase.
