Definitely NOT bright enough, even on the highest settings, and not clear. The light has a warm tone. I had to add a table lamp. I chose this model because it is larger - 15 inches instead of the standard 12 1/2 inches. All mirrors must be at least this height. The height is good, but the 3x magnifier is at the level of my collarbone, so it's unusable. I chose a model with an organizer tray because I need an all-rounder for brushes and tools. while i work It was only partially helpful. The compartments are too small and shallow to be useful. I was amazed at the compact box with two non-magnifying mirrors inside.
