Mom's choice for the first time Pampers or Huggies

As a first-time mom, I was overwhelmed by the huge selection of diapers and didn't even know where to start. I asked a few experienced moms and they all recommended Pampers diapers. I put them on my register and some of them were in my house and in our hospital bag ready for the arrival of our children. In the hospital I noticed they had these diapers instead. I used them reluctantly because I figured once we got home I'd like to use my papers instead. At the hospital they gave us a small bag and we happily went our separate ways. I quickly learned the difference between the two brands. While both are comparable in softness, huggies are much softer. Both brands have a moisture indicator. Pampers are higher in the back, but huggies have an amazing pocket to prevent what I later found out to be a blowout. I'm not sure I believed it anymore, I ordered two boxes, one from Pampers and one from Huggies. As my child started growing and sleeping longer at night, I quickly realized that huggies were better at handling stress, staying drier longer, not sagging as much when full, and providing more protection during the night. Her diapers leaked and she threw up every day even though she was well under her maximum weight limit (i.e. the inserts weren't too small). This has become my new favorite brand and I highly recommend it if you are a first time mom and have any doubts. !PS They make excellent padding silk bags as recommended by the nurses at the hospital. who knew
