Review on Muzzys CAGS Skip Shift Eliminator: Compatible with Corvette, Camaro, Viper, Firebird, Trans-AM and More! by David Plunkett

Worked on my 5th generation Camaro for a day and then turned on the engine light. Fault: P080D Upshift/Skip Solenoid Control Circuit. I reset the error and it reappeared the next time I got the 1 -> 4 shift skip message on the dashboard. I suspect the resistor is blown and is an open circuit to the computer generating the error. Several recent 1 star reviewers seem to have encountered the same issue. I'm not happy I had to crawl under my Camaro again to replace this. Update 7/7/18: Block removed and resistance checked with ohmmeter and got 0 ohms - short circuit. Got a new one from another manufacturer (Michigan Motorsports), 36 ohm resistor. I installed a new one and it works perfectly. The switching error is corrected and the engine light no longer comes on.
