I do a lot of Door Dash deliveries, so it's important to always have my phone with me, but it's inconvenient to keep it while driving, using GPS, and other tasks. I also don't need a window holder since my phone is quite bulky and I don't want it to block my view. So this product ticked all the right boxes. This holder is adjustable to hold different sized phones on the side, which is common, but it also has an adjustable base for phones that might be larger than others, which is a plus. Both are performed by simply pressing the appropriate button. The top button opens the sides so you can easily reach your phone. The bottom smaller button lets you adjust the bottom bracket, but you have to pull it out manually (or use your phone's weight). It then clicks when you push it up to fine-tune where you want your phone to sit. It uses a ball mount with a plastic nut that locks it in place after you've made the final adjustment so it won't move in the future. Simply loosen the nut a little to adjust as needed. The side and bottom mounts have soft pads, but the back doesn't. So you should keep that in mind if you don't use a housing. When using a case, the mounts open wide enough for easy placement. You can also easily turn on your phone on the go as there is enough room for your cord to reach your phone's port. The mount itself attaches directly to your dash, not your windshield, and is curved to allow your phone to hang lower in your forward view. It has two snaps, one for the suction cup and the other for adjusting the arm. There's also padding on the back of the armrest so it doesn't damage the dash, which is nice. I wasn't sure how well it would attach to my dash and it includes a 3M VHB based tape plastic washer if you need it. The thing is, VHBs are very difficult to remove without smearing and damaging the dash if it is ever removed. So I really wanted to install it immediately without a floppy disk. I can say that the suction cup is not ordinary. It comes with a plastic wrap on it, and I recommend leaving it on until you're ready. The kit also includes an alcohol wipe to clean the area for better suction. So you should wait because the suction cup is sticky. This way it literally sticks to the surface like duct tape even before you fully tighten it. That alone made me feel a lot more comfortable because it's holding up straight without having to worry about damage if I decide to move it in the future. Push until there is no gap between the mounting plastic and the rubber suction cup, hold it there, and then close the lock latch. That's all! You can then use a different lock to set your hand the way you want it. As you can see from my photos, it holds my phone perfectly. I even adjusted it from the bottom so I can easily reach out from behind and touch the rear fingerprint sensor with no issues. So if you're looking for an easy-to-use and adjustable phone mount that blocks the view through your windshield, think no more.
