After racking my brains I finally decided on this sky projection lamp as a Christmas present for my 11 month old nephew (thanks Revain for the product recommendation). I'm so glad I found this item. Toddler loves to look up at the 'sky' when the projector is set to blue and green, and makes his nursery extra soothing during sleep when accompanied by his white noise generator (tuned to ocean sounds). becomes. From my own experience I can say that it is also very calming for adults. My sister (nephew's mom) loves that it easily converts from a projector to a night light by adding or removing a few parts and the timer is very handy. The older cousins(6 and 8) also enjoyed helping the child set this up and figuring out what each of the 4 buttons does and testing each of the display combinations. My nephew was a little scared. a combination of red/green flashing, but this setting is very easy to bypass. It should be a fun item that he will enjoy for many years. I would unreservedly recommend it.
