The best clock radio and I went through a lot to get this

I needed a new clock radio a year ago and have tried four of them. All brands and price ranges. I ended up biting the bullet and paying double what I wanted for the iHome clock radio. The best money I've ever spent. The biggest plus for me was that you can adjust the alarm volume to what you need. The last two clock radios I bought were so loud I got out of bed because I was so annoyed. Not the best start to the day. The fact that this sound gradually increases in volume as it appears is a nice feature. The clock can be dimmed down to about five levels, or you can turn off the backlight entirely while you sleep, which is amazing. Very easy to install. The snooze button is easy to find. Being able to charge my iPhone on the device itself is a good thing. If you're looking for a good clock radio and don't mind spending $60, this is the clock for you. Here's my bad experience: The 1st clock radio was from Peakeep. The fact that it says you can black out the lock is a lie. Her idea of darkness still lights up the whole room. I need to sleep in total darkness so this won't work for me. The second clock radio was Memorex - the alarm won't turn off so I got kicked out of bed. I like to wake up slowly. This fear does not allow this. No matter what I try, you can't turn off the alarm. You can turn off the radio if you only listen to it during the day, so why not turn down the alarm volume? Fun. The third radio alarm clock was from DreamSky - the alarm clock cannot be switched off here either. A big problem. I also hit the snooze button and the alarm didn't go off again. Luckily my cat woke me up, otherwise I would have overslept and been late for work. Also, it sounds like the radio is playing in a tin can. A very cheap product.
