Review on HOT TOOLS Professional Styling Curling by Jamie Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love the look of the band. The stick is very light, be careful not to pull/tap on the surface.

I like this styling iron but it is very light so be careful it doesn't tip/fall/fly off the work area. I also appreciate styling tips (for us newbies). Wand user) to tilt the handle up. It really makes it easier to wrap the hair onto the wand. You will definitely need the included heat-resistant glove. My hand/fingers hit the iron a few times but didn't get burned because I was wearing a glove. This curling iron is not cylindrical like the others. It has the shape of a flattened cylinder. My guess is that this shape gives you the "band" style curls. That "band" curl reminds me of when you braid your hair and let it sit and then get that curl/wave in your hair. Switch. I recommend turning it off before unplugging it so it doesn't automatically turn on when you plug it back in. There is a temperature scale on the side. It flashes orange when it's heating up, then stays solid red when it's at the desired temperature. Heats up pretty quickly. Do not set the temperature too high. Higher temperatures are for thick/coarse hair. Start with a low temperature and see what temperature works best for you and don't let your hair hang on the stick for too long.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Almost OK
