The saying "You get what you pay for” absolutely applies to this stool. The price was very good but the material (reclaimed wood) is very fragile and will not support an adult's weight. After 2 weeks of use this is my dressing room, I sat on it to put my shoes on and it buckled under my weight. I jump up quickly and see that the gussets are broken. I removed the lining for a better view and saw the flimsy sticks and staples used to make it. I replaced the angled vertical "sticks" with suitable hardwood, screwed and glued everything. Now it's even more durable and stronger than before. For the $77 (with coupon) I paid for it, I didn't mind making changes. Nice stool, I do not regret the purchase.
