I really love cables from Cable Matters and try to buy them as often as they sell the specific cable I'm looking for, but just wanted a possible warning for everyone leave that it might Remember to use this just like me. I recently set up a room with a projector in my house and the projector is ceiling mounted and only has two HDMI ports available (1 is valid after the soundbar is connected via an arch). I wanted to use it for more than one additional device and the HDMI switcher was the best option. The first switch I tried was the one I already had, the Totu 4k switch. This doesn't show my Nintendo Switch until I plug and unplug the cable. I thought it was the HDMI switch so I bought a Kinivo switch (550BN) to replace it. This worked, but sometimes the signal dropped during gameplay, which was very frustrating. I bought a long Amazonbasics 4k60hz soundbar cable (I know it's overkill, but it's a really good cable) and swapped them out. Since then I do not have problems anymore. I don't think the cable is defective (it works great as an HDMI Arc cable for the soundbar, although I'm sad to have such a good cable in that role). My theory is that the need for a wired repeater means it doesn't work well with HDMI switches, which are almost never perfect devices. If you use this point-to-point cable with no intermediate devices, I would say you can't go wrong.
